Ganhyeon-am is one of the most popular sport climbing crags in South Korea. It is only a one hour train ride from Seoul or 20min by bus from Wonju. Coming from Wonju the bus (number 52) drops you off in the center of Ganhyeon, next to the old train station. Keep on walking in the same direction until you passed underneath the rails, then turn right and follow the river. You can’t miss the crag when you are there. It takes about 20min. The climbing varies from easy slabs and fun face climbing to harder overhanging stuff. Besides a three pitch 6b (5.10d) you can do all ‘multipitches’ with a 70m rope. And the second pitches (6c/5.11) are really great! Go there during weekdays to have the crag for your self, or on the weekend to queue for most of the climbs. But on the upside, all quickdraws are already in :) A fixed topo is at the crag and all routes are marked with its name and grade.
